Although it's a well know wholesaler directory, there are still many who ask if Salehoo's (this fairly short Salehoo review explains what it is) suppliers really are as reliable as the site claims they are – and with good reason, as there are many scam wholesalers and drop shippers online. With that in mind, I'm going to write a short overview of Salehoo and explain how they select and certify suppliers for their database.
What is Salehoo?
Salehoo is not a wholesaler or drop shipper itself – it's a directory of certified suppliers. There are about 8,000 of them, and more than two million products, in a searchable database. Membership costs $67 per year and that includes both directory and forum access.
How Does Salehoo Certify Suppliers?
Unlike Worldwide Brands, which has a policy of visiting new suppliers before listing them – and even placing test orders, Salehoo claim to 'screen' suppliers. In reality this is similar – but less in depth. Usually they call the supplier and ask them a list of questions about their products and business.
Certified and 'screened' suppliers are much better than any that have not been researched at all though – so the wholesalers and drop shippers in Salehoo are much safer to buy from than most other sources that you may find online.
