Stadium History
Olimpico was made in 1928 and was opened in the 1937. The architect of this building is AnnibaleVitelozzi. At the first time, it didn’t have the proper seating, so the supporters can see the match at the terrace of this stadium. It could hold up to 100.000 people at that time.
It has been renovated several times for some purposes. In 1937, this stadium was named StadiodeiCipresssi. In 1953, this stadium changed its name to Stadiodeicentomila. The capacity of this stadium is expanded as well. And then in 1960, this stadium was officially named the StadioOlimpico.The terraces of this stadium were converted to seats. The capacity of this stadium then changed to 65.000 seats.
